The First Freedom Film Festival is a groundbreaking global gathering that unites young leaders and seasoned advocates from every region and religion to witness the power of storytelling in the fight for freedom of belief. Each month, we come together across time zones and traditions to learn about persecution beyond our own borders, to stand in solidarity with those who suffer for their faith, and to experience the unique ability of film to awaken empathy, provoke action, and spark lasting change.
Through award-winning documentaries, survivor testimonies, and powerful visual narratives, the festival shines a light on real-life experiences of courage, oppression, and resilience. Following each screening, participants engage in live conversations with filmmakers and community members — transforming awareness into connection, and connection into action.
The 21

A haunting tribute to the 21 Coptic Christians martyred by ISIS on a Libyan beach in 2015. This powerful short film honors their courage, faith, and the global impact of their sacrifice, revealing how their story became a symbol of unity and witness across religious lines.
Section 298

This documentary exposes Pakistan’s use of blasphemy laws—specifically Section 298—to target the Ahmadiyya Muslim community. Through personal testimonies and legal analysis, the film uncovers the human cost of criminalized belief and the courage of those who resist.
Sole Survivor

A firsthand account of survival from inside China’s forced organ harvesting program, told by a Falun Gong practitioner who escaped. Blending animation with testimony, the film shines light on a hidden atrocity and the resilience of one man who lived to tell the world.
